Karen is a member of the High Country Association of Realtors and is licensed to sell real estate in North Carolina. She has extensive knowledge of the High Country, especially Beech Mountain, Banner Elk and Linville areas including Elk River Club, Linville Ridge Club, Eagles Nest, Headwaters and The Blue Ridge Mountain Club in Blowing Rock. She recently received her Resort and Second Home Properties certification and earned the designation of Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) indicating her commitment to buyers and sellers of utmost professionalism. She joined Blue Ridge Realty & Investments in 2014.
Having arrived to the High Country in the late ‘60s’ with her family, Karen grew up on Beech Mountain. After completing school, she moved to Atlanta where she worked in the commercial real estate industry in administration, and acquired her broker’s license. Returning to the NC mountains in the late ‘80s’ with her husband, Leon, together with their two sons, Josh and Travis, Karen has lived on Beech Mountain ever since. Prior to joining Blue Ridge Realty & Investments,LLC Karen and Leon worked together in the construction industry building homes throughout the High Country. Karen’s active working knowledge of construction makes her especially savvy as a Realtor.
During her leisure time, she enjoys rollerblading, skiing, ice skating as well as walking Drake, the family chocolate Lab.
